Business Process Reengineering(BPR) was one of the first major change management approaches to use the word ‘process’. A process view is key to other major change methodologies such as Total Quality Management (TQM) and Lean Six Sigma.

Yet, our organisations are still structured vertically with a functional hierarchies and our careers progress upwards through them. In many cases change is instigated by an individual function looking at its own problems and opportunities.
